As someone who has spent their entire life being told to, “use your inside voice,” I know what it is like to be loud. Everyone knows I talk a lot, but it’s always been part of who I am. The world seems to have mixed reviews on loud people, but I am not ashamed to admit that my volume may be a little high.

Here are 17 signs that you may be a loud person, too.

1. You are not shy.

2. You don’t have an inside voice, so everyone needs to stop asking.

3. You could talk to a brick wall.

4. You make friends everywhere you go.

5. You are the life of the party.

6. You tell the best stories.

7. You love entertaining your friends.

8. You don’t embarrass easily.

9. You don’t always think before you speak.

10. It can be hard to keep secrets because everyone around can hear you when you talk.

11. You are comfortable being the center of attention.

12. You are public enemy number one at the movies.

13. Or when you are watching a TV show with anyone else in the room.

14. You are really great at breaking the ice because, to you, the ice doesn’t exist.

15. Neither do awkward situations.

16. It is vital to thoroughly talk through every single decision in your life before you make it.

17. You never run out of things to say.

If any of these sound like you, you really don't need to get your ears checked. You are just loud.
